1. Introduction

WHEN Justice ("WHEN Justice", "us", "we", or "our") respects your privacy and this privacy policy ("Privacy Policy") describes how we use, collect, share, and store your information. WHEN Justice is the owner and operator of www.whenjustice.org (the "Site") and collects information from you ("you", "your", or "user") a user of the Site. This Privacy Policy should be read in conjunction with the Terms of Service and is integrated into the Terms of Service as one agreement. All capitalized proper nouns not defined in this Privacy Policy will have the same definitions and meanings as defined by the Terms of Service.


Please review this Privacy Policy periodically as we may revise it from time to time. If you do not agree with or accept our Privacy Policy in its entirety, you must not access or use the Site. If you use the Site following a change to the terms of this Privacy Policy you agree to accept the revised policies.

  • If we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of WHEN Justice, our partners, or others.

7. Choices About Your Information

We strive to provide you with choices regarding the Personal Information you provide to us. We have created mechanisms to provide you with the following control over your information:

  • Tracking Technologies. You can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If you disable or refuse cookies, please note that some parts of this Site may then be inaccessible or not function properly. To learn more about your ability to manage cookies, please consult the privacy features in your web browser.
  • Updating or Deleting Information. You may be able to edit, remove, or change some Personal Information through your account settings located within the Site. If you have any questions or wish to review, change, delete, modify, or access any of your Personal Information collected by us, please contact us at now@whenjustice.org. The rights set forth in this section are subject to applicable law and we may reject requests that are unreasonable or not required by law, including those that would be prohibited by law, could require disproportionate technical effort, or subject us to additional legal or business liability.

8. California Users

California's "Shine the Light" law (Civil Code Section § 1798.83) permits users of our Site that are California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of Personal Information to third parties at no cost once per a year. We do not sell your Personal Information to any third parties. To exercise your rights under this section, please send an email to now@whenjustice.org.

9. Do Not Track

Some Internet Browsers may be configured to send "Do Not Track" signals to the online services that you visit. We currently do not respond to "Do Not Track" as no industry standard has been adopted regarding "Do Not Track". To find out more about "Do Not Track," please visit http://www.allaboutdnt.com. The Site does support the Global Privacy Control (GPC), a Browser signal or extension that facilitates the process for users to indicate their privacy preferences while navigating the internet. You may download a GPC compatible Browser and follow the instructions by such Browser provider to set your privacy preferences.

10. Data Security

We use industry standard measures designed to secure your Personal Information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee the security of your Personal Information transmitted to our Site. Any transmission of Personal Information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Site. If we become aware of a breach that affects the security of your Personal Information, we will provide you with notice where required by applicable law.

11. Children Under the Age of 18

Our Site is not intended for users under the age of 18 years of age. No one under age 18 may provide any information to or on the Site. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 18. If you are under 18, do not use or provide any information on this Site or through any of its features, or provide any information about yourself to us, including any Personal Information. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 18 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. 12. Changes to Our Privacy Policy

From time to time we may make changes to our Privacy Policy. If we make material changes to how we treat our users' Personal Information, we will notify you and you may have to accept such changes. The date the privacy policy was last revised is identified at the top of the page. You are responsible for ensuring we have an up-to-date active and deliverable email address for us to notify you. Please periodically visit our Site and this Privacy Policy to check for any changes.

13. Non-US Users

Your information may be transferred to, and maintained on, computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the privacy laws may not be as protective as those in your jurisdiction. Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer. Information shall be collected, processed, stored, disclosed and disposed of in accordance with any applicable United States' ("US") laws. If you are not from the US acknowledge and agree that we may collect and use your Information and disclose it to other entities outside your resident jurisdiction. In addition, such information may be stored on servers located outside your resident jurisdiction US law may not provide the degree of protection for information that is available in other countries.
